Reading our books on the beach on our 1st day in Oahu. This was really a lazy day, with minmal exploration, except for a 5.95$ lunch plate at a Hawaian chinese spot called "chop suey" on the north shore. As I was packing, I realized that I did not own a single pair of shoes that would be appropriate to wear around in the snow. After dropping by bags off at the hotel, my first stop was the Discount Shoe Warehouse Shoe Warehouse, where I picked up an absolutely hideous pair of flat boots. They were far from stylish, but they were cheap and served me well as I walked around in a miserable blizzard for the better part of the weekend.
