My mother's childhood best friend, sitting on Mom's bed in her attic bedroom, May, 1953. The wallpaper was gray with pink flowers. Curtains were light green. There's the Jenny Lind spool bed and the wash stand. Always wondered what photo Mom took out of that mirrored frame. Now I know: Howard and her at a dance. What is that thing on Nancy's lap? A fuzzy purse? Cute poodle and autograph dog; wonder why no signatures.
