Our flight from Valdosta had been scheduled to leave at 11 AM. At 8:45 AM we received a message that the flight had been postponed to 4:40 PM because of the smoke. After we arrived at the airport, the departure time was changed to a later and later time. We were so happy when we finally took off at 6:30 PM, but we already had a "back up" flight for 9:30 PM from Atlanta to Vegas since it was likely that we would miss our 7 PM flight from Atlanta. Our difficulties were not as bad as some other people who had counted on leaving Valdosta earlier in the day.
