This picture is of a Sumatran Tiger taken at Sydney's Taronga Zoo.
It is hard to believe and to understand but there are less than 500 of these beautiful creatures left in the wild and only around a similar number in Zoos around the world.
It saddens me to think about how long these animals have lived happily over millions of years only to be brought to the brink of extinction in such recent times by man.
