The best part of exploring any new place, is to wander off the normal path that tourists take. In driving along some back roads we saw many amazing places. It was really like stepping back in time. We had the whole countryside to ourselfs.
What was also amazing was seeing un attended shops. Honor shops in which residents sell crafts and carvings. These where run in garages or barns and you would simply walk in pick what you like and place the money listed on the item in a drop box without ever seeing the owner. I was so amazed by this, as most places there is just no way you could get away with running such a business without being robbed blind.
