Hebridean Flock

"I'll photograph a few sheep,how hard can it be". These were my thoughts as I went to photograph a flock of Hebridean sheep that have recently been introduced on some rough land immediately behind our garden. the answer was "Bloomin' Hard". they would either be just round the corner, or behind a bush,or in long grass. when I could see them they would be under a tree,in the shade, but with a bright patch of sunlight at the back of the shot, making contrast difficult, and with them being almost black it was difficult, not to say impossible to get much detail. I have tinkered and adjusted the pictures.lightened them ,darkened them,and eventually decided that Black and White might be best. I'm sure I can do better but here is what I've managed so far.
