This duck is filtering the water going over the falls for food. He was really shaking his head as he did this. I shot a short video which was kind of cute.

BACKSTORY: The cats caught yet another mouse. Oranjello accidentally let it escape under the water heater, because he was taunting it too much... But then they caught it again. Poor thing.
However, after 24 mice, 5 raccoons, 2 snakes, and 1 bird IN OUR HOUSE, we are quite happy to let the cats be happy with their toy. They've been killing for millions of years, and me photographing it doesn't change that fact. Nor would throwing a half-eviscrated, limping, broken-legged mouse into the cold night really stop its suffering.
Of course, if anyone wants to pay to have an exterminator fix our house up so they can't find their way in, we'll gladly take your money. :)

For Christmas, Beavis got a pack of fish flakes (in a requisite metal tin, to protect it from cattack). He went NUTS for them, and Oranjello has reacted similarly. They're basically crack cocaine for kitties. These are often given to the cat to soothe over a bad moment.
Look at his teeth! He must REALLY want those fish flakes! (Actually, he's about to bite his leash.)
