Black Footed Cat (Kitten)
Still a kitten, but more or less fullsized. Smaller than an average housecat. Born May 11, 2006. To put this in perspective, he's about 2 feet long.
Note: Some clown in Mexico decided to enter a photo contest with a ripped off image, managed to *win*, and other entrants discovered he copied his entry, along with other pictures including this one. This most assuredly is the original. My thanks to the folks who pointed this out.
Loved to be rubbed

Miruku is happy to be rubbed at a bench, while we take a break of going out for a walk.
The following stuff is technical subject, and you can skip reading if you don't prefer it.
I took this with a streetlight that is very low color temperature(it probably is a Sodium-vapor lamp), and I had hard time adjusting color temperature. Still I'm not satisfied with the result. I shoot it with RAW mode, still there is something wrong with this photo. I guess that's because my camera's sensor is a Bayer sensor.(And almost the other digital cameras are!) A Bayer sensor has many green pixel sensors, and has less other color sensors(red and blue). If you shoot in extremely high or low color temperature and adjusting it, the info caught by green sensor is used non-green color info, and the info caught by red or blue sensor is used to build green color info. I guess that's might be the reason why I feel like this picture has less resolution.
By the way, Sigma is about to release a compact camera DP2 Merrill which has non-bayer image sensor. It has outstanding image quality! Can you believe it? It has better image image quality than ordinary DSLR! And I guess the camera don't have a problem like this photo.
