Orangutan in Sabah

Orangutan in the jungle near Sandakan at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in eastern Sabah on the island of Borneo. The centre helps orangutans and raises awareness of their plight and associated environmental issues.
It is possible to explore some of the adjacent forest reserve via several trails that go into the jungle. Gibbons are some times seen, and certainly heard, and the local leeches will make your acquaintance! However it is a great way to see the orangutan's natural environment and experience wild Sabah.
