Latin name: Icterus cucullatus
Picture taken near where Alameda Creek leaves Niles Canyon, Fremont, Alameda County, California. This isn't typical Hooded Oriole habitat, but the neighborhood has Washingtonia palms, in which they nest naturally in the desert.
