A small cave by the Angel's Landing Trail held a bunch of drying bones of an animal. I might not have noticed it (for I was quite out of breath from climbing up the steep switchbacks from the bottom of the Zion Canyon) had it not been for a young family with kids having an animated conversation (with fingers pointing this way and that) in front of this little cave. Zion National Park, Utah.
Wonder if anyone can identify the animal just from these bones?

I hear so many parents / teachers tell children that animals like this are just like ______ (fill in pets name) only bigger. Very rarely do I hear them tell children how absolutely dangerous they are. If you hear this at your park, please gently / humorously let them know how dangerous they can be no matter how soft and fluffy they appear. As we all know humans do the least with the most intelligence.
