Golden Lion Tamarin

Golden Lion Tamarins from South America are classified as Endangered.
By 1965 numbers were so low that the Poco das Antas Reserve was established in 1975 in an attempt to protect them.
Marwell Zoo is now part of the Tamarin Conservation Programme and several pairs from the zoo have been reintroduced to the wild near the Reserve and are breeding successfully.

Milky Stork

This is Milky Stork or in its scientific name Mycteria Cinerea. A typical tropic stork in the South East Asia. They can be easily found in mangrove area. But due to the disturbance of human to the natural habitat, its been an endangered species. This picture was captured in Zoo Negara Malaysia. These birds are being breed in captivity.
