The Too Pink Corner At Build-A-bear
If you've never been to a build-a-bear, it's a bit weird. You select your favorite animal husk, go to the stuffing machine, perform a crazy ritual directed by a store employee, get the animal stuffed, proceed to the washing station, and then clothe your animal in any of a large variety of outfits available for an additional fee.

These stuffed animals were hung from the third floor of a still-incompletely demolished building overlooking the Barriada del Perla and the Atlantic Ocean. The demolition started six years earlier but ran out of funding, probably due to its proximity to the crime-ridden Perla barrio, which is so bad-ass that the gas and electric companies supposedly let the squatters freely tap into their utilities for fear of reprisals if they try to shut them off. The barrio's location next to the two-million-visitors-per-year El Morro fortress in Old San Juan also leads to a fine mugging industry that nicely complements the drug dealing.
