‘New EU funding framework on the Horizon’ – local companies prepare to apply….15-5-13

The event, organised by InterTradeIreland in association with the Irish Presidency of the EU Council, showcased the assistance that will be available to companies in Northern Ireland, Ireland and Europe to prepare for the upcoming expected €70 billion R&D and innovation fund Horizon 2020.

More than 170 business people, students and teachers, and opinion formers heard from speakers Digby Lord Jones of Birmingham, Dr Richard Hutchins, Deputy Chief Executive of Advantage West Midlands (which has funded the Business in the Classroom Programme for 2 years), Geoff Percy, CBI West Midlands Regional Chairman, and Professor David Eastwood, Vice-Chancellor of The University of Birmingham, which hosted the event at the Birmingham Business School.
