This beautiful face...the sunken grayed eye...is something us urban dwellers seldom see. All death is removed from our world....its removal causes us to have no awareness of the cycle of nature, and of our earth.
We only see death in the form of a tiny furry carcass along the roads...usually skunk, raccoon, or squirrel. At least around here that is.... in suburbia. In spring a sad occasion is when a tiny bird plummets out of its nest to the ground.
In rural areas death is so much more
observable...be in on a farm (death can be there in many forms) , or just that dead things are left to return to the earth.
