The Prince’s Regeneration Trust’s Chairman, Ian Marcus (right) and Secretary of State for Business, Vince Cable signed an agreement that the Government’s Regional Growth Fund would provide £1.7 million to the Trust’s regeneration of the Middleport Pottery site in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.
The Trust’s regeneration project has already saved fifty local pottery jobs and bought new business into the area. The RGF is vital to the project reaching its objective of regenerating the entire site into a hub of traditional craftsmanship by renovating and letting out buildings to new businesses. This project will increase much-needed employment opportunities and drive regeneration in the local area.
