Helen Antipov, Comfort Keepers
Helen Antipov is the co-owner of Comfort Keepers of Durham and Chapel Hill. This sister-owned office provides non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults enabling independent living at home. Prior to purchasing the franchise a little over a year ago, Antipov held various positions at large corporations such as Bank of America and The Home Depot. She obtained her MBA from the University of North Florida and has over 15 years’ experience in sales and marketing and has managed teams through several bank and credit card mergers and acquisitions. In her year as an Ambassador for the Chamber, Antipov has been a true champion for the Chamber. She has attended almost every Chamber event, she’s volunteered extra time to aid Chamber staff in event prep, and she’s built personal connections with more than 30 new Chamber member businesses. www.comfortkeepers.com/office-832
Chapel Hill, NC – The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce announced the 2011 Business of the Year award winners on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at its Annual Meeting held at the Sheraton Hotel in Chapel Hill.
“These enterprises are recognized as outstanding Chamber member businesses that have shown growth, innovation of product, exemplary customer service, response to adversity, and contribution to the community,” said Aaron Nelson, Chamber President and CEO.
The winners for each award are as follows:
•The 2011 Chair’s Award for Public-Private Partnership is awarded to Bernadette Pelissier, chair of the Orange County Board of Commissioners.
•The Progress Energy 2011 Sustainable Business of the Year is Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools.
•The 2011 Chamber Ambassador of the Year is Helen Antipov of Comfort Keepers
•The 2011 Business of the Year (Small), presented by Polaris IT Solutions, is Showroom Shine.
•The 2011 Business of the Year (Mid-Size), presented Harrington Bank, is Strata Solar.
•The 2011 Business of the Year (Large), presented by Fidelity Investments, is a tie between 3 Birds Marketing and Carolina Brewery.
•The 2011 Non-Profit of the Year, presented by Time Warner Cable Business Class, is Community Home Trust.
•The recipients of the 2011 Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award are The Employees of UNC Health Care.
