A boat dock at Berg on the island of Möja in the Stockholm archipelago. The red buildings in the background are typical Swedish summer homes "in the archipelago." They are called stuga (singular) or stugan (plural)
In the summer, this is a busy place with boaters, people taking a weekend holiday, and sunbathers in bikinis.

Near the city of Visby on the island of Gotland, Sweden. Enhanced. View large to see the sea gulls. Gotland is a beautiful island in the Baltic sea on the east side of Sweden. Just north of Gotland, separated by about 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) is an even more beautiful island called Fårö. On Fårö, there are some unusual rock formations called rauk.
