Upcoming Chicago Visit!

Excitement! I'll be heading to Chicago next week to go to the Lollapalooza Music Festival! I went last year and had a great time. Chicago is my favorite city of all the ones I've been to. There is so much to do and see! My room is booked, my tickets are bought and in hand, and I even went through the insane Canada Passport ordeal and have emerged unscathed. I'm there from the 1st to the 10th and then I'm taking a train up to Detroit where cousins will meet me and take me to a family wedding on the Saturday before my Aunt & Uncle's 25th wedding anniversary party on the Sunday. Then I fly home from Toronto on the 14th.

I have a billion things I want to do while I'm on vacation, of course, but I haven't even remotely figured out when/how aside from the festival itself. This is also my chance to relax and I don't want to spend the entire time dashing around without some time for rest. The ideas I'm bouncing around now are going to the beach, going to another baseball game, Sears Tower, the Art Gallery, visiting the dog park (does someone have a dog I can borrow?), the Bean (I really do love the bean), some shopping, visiting the threadless offices, and lots and lots of good food! I have to make some time for a couple of errands while I'm there as well. And tons of photos!

Oh, and Kenny, on a completely unrelated sidenote, you should come to the Editors show with me. I don't want you to go back to England in October and have your friends beat you senseless for turning down the chance to see them at such a small venue! ;) You WILL like them, I promise.
